Who we are

The Tamahere PTA is made up of parents, caregivers, teachers and school leaders who work together to support the school community. Our members have a wide range of skills and experiences, making time to help when they can. We always welcome new members with ideas and energy to support school initiatives and events. With a shared belief in supporting Tamahere students and staff, we will continue to make a positive difference to the school community.

What we do

The purpose of the PTA is twofold: to raise funds that are used to support and enhance learning opportunities, and to facilitate community events that bring families, staff, and students together and strengthen connections within the school community. Recently, funds have been used to realise a range of projects, including the purchase of new shade sails, classroom furniture, and school tents. The PTA proudly supports and celebrates the much-loved events that already bring our community together, such as Pumpkin Night and Golf Day, and actively encourages new ideas and initiatives that may help our school community continue to grow, connect, and thrive.
